2023 Country Patches Quilt Guild Scholarship Winner Anna Phillips, Hallsville High School
Hi to all the wonderful ladies in the Country Patches Quilt Guild,
I am so lucky to have been chosen for your scholarship. I plan to go into computer art/graphic design and do audio visual video editing. I want to be able to have a job that means something, and that can potentially help or bless others when they see it. Y’all have helped me work towards this goal, and I’m so thankful for that. I greatly appreciate the opportunity that y’all have given me, and I will use it to its fullest extent to help others and pay it forward. My grandma has quilted for years, and she has passed that down to me, as well. I never realized that there was a quilting guild near Longview. Finding this out makes me realize and appreciate the artistic opportunities I have locally, and what y’all have given me.
Thank you all so much!
Anna
